Will the Discovery Festival include marathon and half distances in 2012? Our walking club would like to come down to it as we have done several years in the past. The 7 hr. cap of the new marathon is too hard for many of our members to meet. We will be registering for a 2012 event soon and would really like to know if this is an option. Thanks so much.

What a great group pf walkers! Everyone was so nice and in good spirits. I met an especially nice couple at mile 10 or so that made the time go quick.

Thanks for the effort and work involved in making this event a success.

Had a good time. Ran the first 17 miles with a decent half marathon time of 2:03:26. My GPS and iPod though had foot mileage of 14.87 miles from the Hilton back to start. Could be my units but even Nike+ system shows 13.90 and that with a few short cuts.
After mile 17 I injured my left knee and had to run/walk for the next 4 miles but finally had to give up running at mile 21 and walked the rest of the way as fast as I could. Time was eventually 4:58:26.

Had a great time for my first marathon!! Many thanks.
